Viniyoga is the concept of tailoring the Yoga practice to the specific needs of the individual, developed by the Guru Krishnamacharya.

Through further practice and development, Gary Kraftsow streamlined the Viniyoga tradition into a therapeutic asana practice that incorporates breath with repetitive movements within held postures. It is a dynamic way of working an asana, as opposed to a static practice (holding the pose).

Trichonasana | Triangle Pose

Start with . Look down at your front leg. Inhaling, stretch your upwardly extended hand forward over your head, looking up at your elbow. Exhale, back into original stance looking down. Inhale, extend your arm forward looking up. Exhale, extend arm upwards, looking down. Working Trichonasana in this way will increase your side and low back stretch, and help you establish balance and poise.

Also making large backwards circles with your extended arm is a lovely way to dynamically practice Trichonasana.
